Could KANU’s allegations that IEBC rigged the Kericho by-election using ‘sophisticated computer programs” be a political gimmick aimed at raising the party’s profile?
I am tempted to think KANU is borrowing from the opposition, who never accept defeat.
Instead of presenting their case to the relevant agencies for investigation, they held a press conference, just like the opposition would.
Such press conferences can easily be misinterpreted that KANU is out to tarnish the image of IEBC and shutter people’s faith in the electoral body.
If the allegations have basis their best move was to present their evidence before law enforcement agencies for investigation.
As we head to the 2017 general election let’s not forget what caused the 2007-2008 post-election violence.
The magnitude of KANU’s allegations are mind bubbling and delicate and should be handled with care and professionalism.
