The fight against corruption should not be selective or politicised. We have seen the opposition, which has been screaming from the rooftops accusing Jubilee of graft and claiming the high moral ground, remain mum after damning revelations of corruption fingering it came to the fore.
In Kilifi County, billions have been lost, yet the opposition has been quick to defend it’s Governor and absolve him of blame. Corruption is corruption.
Double standards will not do. If you claim to be ‘mweupe kama pamba’ and your lieutenants are stealing, then your mantra fails.
You can’t defend the indefensible. Jubilee has declared there are no sacred cows in the graft war. By shielding their ilk, the opposition has lost the moral authority to address corruption issues.
